"Charms" login instructions

How to Log In to "Charms"
Coming soon to this site, a video tutorial and tour of the SJMS Band Charms database. For now, follow the simple instructions below.Go to the Charms Office Assistant login page.
At the green "Parent/Student Login" area enter the schoolcode "sjohnsonmsband" then click the "Enter Charms" button.
You will be taken to the public area of the Scott Johnson Band Charms database.
From here you can view the public calendar, email the teachers, or download general handouts . There is also a link to this website. In order to view calendar items or handouts specific to your class you will need to login using the student's MISD student ID number. Enter that number into the "Student Password" field and click the "Enter" button. The screen you see below will appear. The screen below is for a fictitious student named Tiger Pride. The student's name will appear at the top of the page where "Tiger's" name appears.
"School calendar" - Month-view calendar with general band events and the events that pertain to the student's band or class. Events not pertaining to the student will not appear.
"Event list" - A list-view of the general events and the events that pertain to the student's band or class.
"Volunteers" - Parents may use this tab to sign up to help with scecific tasks at events for which the directors have requested volunteers or chaperones.
"Email Teachers" - Links to the directors' email addresses.
"Handouts" - From here you can download general and class-specific handouts."Website" - A link to this website, www.sjmsband.org.
"Finances" - All student financial transactions will be listed here as well as a ledger of fees that are due.
"Student Forms" - A list of all forms a student has turned in, and a list of all forms the student needs to turn in.
"Absences & Tardies" - A listing of absences or tardies from Sectionals or other concerts or rehearsals outside the school day. Absences and tardies from class will be reported only on the MISD Attendance website and can be reviewed by students and parents using the Home Access Center (HAC)
"Assigned Inventory" - A list of all school instruments checked out to the student.
"Recording Studio" - Useful practice tools for the student. Included are a metronome, a tuner, a tempo tapper, a blank sheet music printing tool, and a recording program the students can use to record themselves for self-assessment or to email an assignment to the teacher.
"Personal Info" - Students and parents can check all personal information such as contact information and birthdate, and make changes as necessary. This will allow you to help us keep our contact information up to date.
"Change Password" - If you would rather create your own password rather than use the school ID#, the password can be changed from this location.
